appointment options
A brief telephone call to discuss which session option might be the best one for you and your specific needs. This gives us an opportunity to talk before committing to further appointments.
A single consultation session with a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist who also has lived experience of loss. Using a Single-Session-Therapy approach, the aim of this session is for you to get what you need in one appointment – with the option of booking more if needed.
Why choose a single consultation session?
- You don’t want ongoing therapy, but you do want to speak to someone with professional and personal knowledge and expertise in baby loss, grief and reproductive trauma.
- You want to feel understood, heard and validated.
- And you want to come away with some ideas and actions to take forward.
- You have a specific question or dilemma that you would like to work on with someone who really gets it.
- You want to know there is someone who you can book further sessions with as and when needed.
A block of four sessions with a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist who also has lived experience of loss.
Why choose Scaffolding?
- You don’t want ongoing weekly therapy, but you do want to speak to someone with professional and personal knowledge and expertise in baby loss, grief and reproductive trauma.
- You want support over a course of sessions to help you through a difficult time or transition (e.g. the early months of grief, navigating a return to work, pregnancy after loss or making a challenging fertility decision).
- You want to work with someone who can help you feel validated and understood – and who can offer psychological knowledge and strategies that can help.
Follow up sessions that can be booked as and when needed.
Why book a follow up session?
- These can be booked following an initial single or block of sessions.
- Follow up sessions can be used to untangle a specific question or concern, to explore a dilemma or as a space to feel heard and supported.
- As this session will be with the same psychologist, you can feel reassured that they already know and understand you and your individual experience.
- You can book these as and when required rather than needing to commit to ongoing weekly appointments.
